Assertiveness Test – Self Assesment

Assertiveness is the quality of being self-assured and confident, not being frightened to say what you want or believe without being aggressive, it is a learnable skill and mode of communication. This assertiveness test is very useful for you to realize how you interact with other people in situations where both want to achieve your own goals and determines whether a lack of assertiveness skills may be keeping you from fulfilling your potential and reaching your goals.

This questionnaire is taken from the book “Assertivenes” (D. Chalvin, Editions ESF, 1981).

Please examine the following 60 situationss and indicate if you agree or disagre answering honestly.

  • Rather true: If you think or act this way most of the time
  • Rather false: If you don’t agree or rarely do what is described.
