Destroy the 5 dysfunctions of a team
A powerful workshop and a good first step towards BEING a real team
By PEDRO SOLÓRZANO
We have all experienced different types of teams (dysfunctional, pseudo-teams and great teams), “Destroy the 5 Dysfunctions of a Team” workshop contains everything I have learned over the past 20 years and this key learning is that the success and failure of a team depends largely on how well we manage our daily interactions, on two levels:
- Team activities: have an obsession with mutual clarity: what is the mission, who does what, is it clear to everyone?
- Team climate (Psicological Safety): carefully nurturing strong, trust-based relationships.
I believe in teams and I believe in tools. That’s why I’ve spent the last five years designing and revamping tools that help team members improve their performance.
- the team’s activities through better alignment of the team, and
- the team climate by creating psychologically safer working environments.
Only teams can meet the complexity of the challenges posed by an interconnected world. We are going through a period of dramatic change: game-changing technologies and unprecedented obstacles (pandemics, wars, inflation, supply chains…) are disrupting entire industries.
Organisations are being forced to innovate and deliver results at an unprecedented pace, and teams are the cornerstone for responding to these changes.
The need to review the way we work together has never been greater. As the visionary Peter Drucker announced long ago, the key question is not “How can I achieve?” but “What can I contribute?” and I couldn’t agree more.
A well-designed training programme that will enable your company to improve the competencies of teams and individuals in leadership, team management, relationships, creativity, innovation and problem solving.
For a long time I have had the need to offer companies and teams experiential training.
