Ways of Working

The Build the Vitamin City with Lego Serious Play event came to Madrid! It was a unique experience!
Last Wednesday, November 30th, at the Hotel Riu in Madrid, MSD asked us to organize a Lego® Serious Play activity for about 279 participants under the slogan “Build the Vitamin City” under the framework of its Ways of Working “WOW” and so I did.
In this entertaining event, participants used Lego® Serious Play® principles to build their version of Vitamin City. This city was built with themes such as social inclusion, skills development, resilience, joy, happiness, creative thinking, and innovation.
Participants worked in groups to build their ideal city. During the event, I guided the teams as a Lego® Serious Play® facilitator, guiding them to organize and develop their ideas. I also helped them better understand the city-building process, so they could work together effectively and creatively.
It was amazing!!! Each of the 279 participants had the opportunity to contribute their vision of the city and how it should be planned, all in an hour and a quarter! Using the Lego® Serious Play® methodology, they were able to build districts under the theme of one of the 13 vitamins that represented their ideas.
Once the participants completed their work, they began working as a group to bring their ideas together to create a city. They were divided into teams and each team began to build the district of the city they had planned, there were architects, builders, explorers, and negotiators who had not only to build but to look for pieces of other districts as a common nexus of the Vitamin City. This was an excellent way to build a city collaboratively and as a team within their WOW.
“We are proud to have created an imaginary city collaboratively and as a team.”
By the end of the event, participants had built the Vitamin City district by district. It was an incredible experience for everyone and a great accomplishment for the MSD team that made the “Build the Vitamin City” event incredible.
We hope all participants enjoyed this experience as much as I did!
Thank you very much for building Vitamin city! Until next time!
